Partner in the IT, Risk areas & ECIJA Compliance and Cybersecurity. Alonso Hurtado, has a professional career of more than 15 years in advising leading Spanish and international companies, in technological law and Information security, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance in these areas.
It is worth noting his deep and wide experience advising top-level public and private entities, in everything related to the implementation, adaptation and audits of Personal Data Protection processes; implementation of information security management systems and regulatory compliance. He has also advised the Spanish Government on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the community internal market.
Alonso has been recognized by Chambers & Partners as one of the best Compliance lawyers in the Spanish market and awarded the Iberian Lawyer Top 40 under Forty award in 2017-2018.
Before ECIJA, he has worked as a lawyer and partner in two leading boutiques in information technology and data protection law in the Spanish market, until founding his own firm LexTIC. Alonso has a Law Degree, Master in Telecommunications Law and New Information Technologies from the Carlos III University of Madrid. Master in Biotechnology, Biomedicine and European Union Law from UNED. Higher Master in Occupational Risk Prevention from the San Pablo CEU University.
Vice President of ASCOM (Spanish Compliance Association), Founding member of the Association of Privacy Professionals (APEP), Member of the Board of Directors of ISMS Forum Spain, Member of DENAE. Member of the Electronic Public Procurement Commission of the National Association of Internet Companies (ANEI). Member of the group of experts in Information Security of INCIBE, dependent on Red.es.
Regular speaker at training courses and conferences on Information Technology and Communications Law, Information Security and Data Protection, Electronic Signature, Electronic Administration, Digital Certification, among others.
